The Republic of Congo plays a leading role in forest management in the Congo Basin. The Ministry of Forestry Economy and Sustainable Development adheres to the forest policy defined by the government of the Republic, as well as international guidelines for sustainable management of tropical forest ecosystems.
Forest Resources Management: Established in 1987, Forest Resources Management (FRM) consultancy works towards sustainable forest management in tropical forests, improving practices in the wood processing industries, and developing renewable and sustainable energy sources in the long term.
